The name "Rough Riders" pays homage to the legendary 1st United States Volunteer Cavalry, dubbed the Rough Riders, who etched their names into history during the Spanish–American War of 1898.
These brave souls were thrust into a seemingly impossible death mission—a battle against the odds, facing a formidable enemy on foreign soil. Outnumbered ten to one and confronting a well-trained adversary, the Rough Riders knew they would most likely never return home from battle again.
